Bulk Fuel Handler
About the Job

We are currently seeking a Bulk Fuel Handler to work at a remote location in Nunavut.​ Reporting to the site manager, the Bulk Fuel Handler will be responsible for the inspection, monitoring, operation, maintenance and repair of the entire fuel distribution system.​ This also includes producing the list of material, spares, replacement equipment required to operate and maintain the equipment.​



Job Requirements:

· several years experience in Bulk Fuel handling (large airfield or logistics centre) would be an asset

· military airfield experience would be an asset

· must have TSSA Bulk Fuel handling certificate or equivalent

· experience with PETROTAG or other equivalent electronic fluid level measurement system would be an asset.​ (PETROTAG: The electronic tank fluid level measuring system used at Alert.​)



Typical duties include, but are not limited to: the inspection, monitoring, operation, maintenance and repair of the entire fuel distribution system.​ This also includes producing the list of material, spares, replacement equipment required to operate and maintain the equipment.​



Work Conditions:

This is a two year contract position that will require the individual to work a normal workday but also be on call after hours as required by emergencies and unforeseen events.​ It is on a work rotation schedule of three consecutive months of work followed by one month off.​
