Bulk Fuel Handler
About the Job
We are currently seeking a Bulk Fuel Handler to work at a remote location in Nunavut. Reporting to the site manager, the Bulk Fuel Handler will be responsible for the inspection, monitoring, operation, maintenance and repair of the entire fuel distribution system. This also includes producing the list of material, spares, replacement equipment required to operate and maintain the equipment.
Job Requirements:
· several years experience in Bulk Fuel handling (large airfield or logistics centre) would be an asset
· military airfield experience would be an asset
· must have TSSA Bulk Fuel handling certificate or equivalent
· experience with PETROTAG or other equivalent electronic fluid level measurement system would be an asset. (PETROTAG: The electronic tank fluid level measuring system used at Alert.)
Typical duties include, but are not limited to: the inspection, monitoring, operation, maintenance and repair of the entire fuel distribution system. This also includes producing the list of material, spares, replacement equipment required to operate and maintain the equipment.
Work Conditions:
This is a two year contract position that will require the individual to work a normal workday but also be on call after hours as required by emergencies and unforeseen events. It is on a work rotation schedule of three consecutive months of work followed by one month off.
