Project Manager - Retail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A leading global design firm is currently seeking an experienced Mandarin speaking Retail Project Manager in Beijing for at least 1-2 years. This position is responsible for overall project management of one or more retail projects which includes: client relationship, scheduling, budgeting and construction administration and is accountable for the quality of work performed, client service and profitability.

Main Activities/Tasks:

* Professional architect that works independently to lead and direct the construction administration phase of multiple projects.
* Understands client requirements and establishes project approach.
* Establish and maintain thorough knowledge of Agreements between Owner and Architect, Agreements between Owner and Contractors, project General Conditions and general requirements, problem solving as necessary to uphold these Agreements.
* Manages and reviews Contractor submittals and requests for information.
* Manages and prepares supplementary information, proposal requests and change orders.
* Observes construction to determine if work complies with construction documents, attends Owner Architect Contractor meetings, produces field reports and certifies Contractor Applications for Payments.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* 10+ years Retail architectural experience required
* Advanced knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes
* Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in both Mandarin and English
* Ability to effectively handle multiple projects on a daily basis
* Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required
