About the Job

Hillside Children's Center has an opening for a PER DIEM Family Advocate.​ MUST HAVE experience as a parent with a child with Severe Emotional Disorder (SED) required.​ Good verbal and written communication plus listening skills.​ Hear and support families from a peer perspective, teach and guide families to work within various systems as well as helping them access community and natural supports.​ A non-judgmental approach to working with families is a must.​ Efficient time management and planning with overall organizational skills a must.​



All candidates being considerened must be a parent or caregiver of a child with a SED diagnosis.​ Must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekdays, nights and/​or weekends).​ Will be working in Niagara County.​ Minimum of a High School Diploma required.​ Valid NYS Drivers License and driving record that meets Agency requirements.​ Must be cleared through NYS Central Registry as well as NYSOMH Fingerprinting
