The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you are a highly skilled professional as you will be responsible for:
- Developing and preparing survey drawings, plans, diagrams and layouts from sketches in the areas of residential subdivision, commercial development, municipal infrastructure and conceptual planning
- Preparing layout sheets and files for field crews
Job Description
In most cases, the Survey Technician will be responsible but not limited to the responsibility for drawing production on a wide range of survey-related projects as well as related field duties.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in field data reduction and calculations
- AutoCAD drawing preparation
- Conducting quality control checks of survey drawings
- Providing mentorship to junior survey technicians
Requirements
- Successfully completed a recognized Survey Technology program or equivalent work experience
- AutoCAD Land Development or Carlson Survey proficiency essential
- Meticulous attention to detail essential
- Good oral and written communication abilities essential
- Excellent knowledge of subdivision process and land development
- Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and photo editing software
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment
- Exceptional organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Exposure to a construction environment would be considered an asset
Compensation
31k - 35k ($15-$17.50/hr)
