Road Warrior! Field Service Technician--100% travel

Are you ready to pack your suitcase and get on the road??


Volt is seeking Field Service technicians for a contract that will start sometime between January 15th and March 1st and will last approximately through the end of 2009.


In this role you will be responsible for doing upgrades, commissioning, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and installation of industrial sorting equipment at multiple sites across the United States.


Prior Field Service experience helpful-with electromechanically based equipment-any experience with conveyors or PLC's a plus.


After an initial 2 week training period in the client facility in Arlington, TX, you will be traveling for 6 weeks at a time-then sent home for a 2-3 day period before leaving on the next trip. All hotel and airfare expenses are direct billed to Volt. You will be expected to share a rental car with the team of technicians.


Overtime is required when available, but not guaranteed.


Candidates will be expected to meet the requirements to obtain a sensitive security clearance-including a full 10 year criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.


In addition to hourly wage, candidates will receive a $40 per day per diem while traveling.

Requirements:
# Mechanical or electro mechanical experience-preferably on large equipment-candidates with conveyor, PLC, or Field Service experience will be given priority.
# Ability to travel extensively.
