SHIP BUILDING COMPANY has immediate needs for experienced Piping Designers. Excellent long term contract positions with possibility to go direct with the company. Good pay rates and overtime available.

Job Description:
The function of a Piping Designer-2 is to create the Detail Design documentation using the functional design documentation previously developed for the various piping systems for the SHIP design project to which she/he is assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop piping systems arrangements as they relate to systems routing. Complete interference checking and assist in resolving conflicts with all engineering disciplines. The Piping Designer must have the ability to utilize primary Piping System Design Tools (AutoCAD 2D/3D and Ship Construtor CAD system).

Education and Skills requirements:
This ability can be attained by completion of courses equivalent to an Associate Degree from an accredited junior or technical college with an emphasis in mechanical design or drafting, or may be met through application of High School education plus 5 years of experience in drafting. In addition to these Drafting skills the Piping Designer must have a MINIMUM OF # YEARS MARINE PIPING DESIGN EXPERIENCE. The ability to interpret customer specifications as related to Piping System requirements into Detail Design Documentation required to cost effectively design the perspective vessel is a qualification of Piping Designer. His/her years of experience in SHIP DESIGN must include a familiarity with Regulatory Body Requirements associated with the Ship Building industry (i.e. ABS, 46 CFR, and The US Coast Guard).

• Do you have Ship Constructor Cad experience? If so how many hours? Please provide details.
