The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in landscape architecture is required
- 2+ years experience
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong design skills that are expressive in both sketch and finished formats
- Demonstrated graphic skill with both computer and manual techniques
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Work individually as well as part of a team
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment an asset

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to the needs of our land development clients.

Responsibilities
Additionally, this position requires the Landscape Architect to attend public meetings to present ideas, projects and conceptual development plans.

The position involves some project management responsibilities and interacting with an array of clients.


Requirements
- Conferring with clients to determine design needs
- Examining and assessing designated sites and developing designs, taking into consideration landscape features, buildings, climate, future usage and other aspects
- Preparing detailed drawings for sites, including features such as plantings, surfaces, street furniture, site layout, and grading.
- Preparing site plans, reports, sketches, models, photographs, maps, land use studies, and design plans
- Estimating costs, preparing specifications, and evaluating tenders for landscape construction projects
- Conducting environmental design studies including environmental assessments, planning and the preservation and re-creation of historical sites
- Conducting community and neighborhood physical planning studies, participating in multidisciplinary urban design studies and preparing design guidelines
- Assisting Director, Human Resources in hiring Landscape Architecture support staff
- Managing Landscape Architecture support staff

51k - 60k
