The Position

CHC Helicopter Corporation is seeking an experienced person to fill the NEW position of Commodity Manager, Fuel.​



The Commodity Manager, Fuel will be responsible for reducing overall costs to CHC by developing and executing business plans for the purchase of fuel and other commodities.​



Responsibilities:

* Play a key role in CHC’s ability to set the standard for safety, helping to maintain our position as world leader.​
* Develop and implement a sourcing strategy to achieve cost savings within each commodity group
* Evaluate vendor process capabilities, cost models, quotes and service proposals to determine the most desirable suppliers
* Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements for assigned commodities
* Manage suppliers, cost quality, and delivery performance
* Manage Commodity Team activities to achieve strategic business plan objectives
* Understand, track and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities
* Perform market analysis and report supplier performance indicators
* Provide leadership, management and oversight for the commodity group
* Coordinate with all relevant departments on all supplier related issues
* Participate as required in performing supplier audits
* Some international travel will be required



Position Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree plus at least five (5) years of experience in a management level position in planning or purchasing; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.​
* Strong leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation and organization skills.​
* Knowledge of procurement, strategy and market drivers
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
