F/A-18 Plane Captain Job Description:
DS2 is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of F/A-18 Plane Captain at the China Lake NAWS in Ridgecrest, California.

Job Description:

F/A-18A-D, E&F Plane Captain - Service aircraft for flight, perform daily/turnaround inspections. Launch and recover aircraft in support of the daily flight schedule. Operate required Ground Support Equipment for assigned aircraft. Perform corrosion control functions including aircraft washing. The Candidate shall be capable of performing pre/post flight, daily inspections, aircraft servicing functions and shall be licensed to operate GSE in support of the assigned aircraft. Maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, power plants and related systems or egress systems. Will perform essential flight line services as directed to meet scheduled operations. Minimum Requirements:

candidates are strongly recommended and desired to be a high school graduate or equivalent. A minimum of thirty-six months organizational level aircraft maintenance experience with at least twelve months experience on F/A-18A-D, and/or F/A-18E/F aircraft is required. Must be capable of obtaining / maintaining a clearance level of secret.

Work Environment/Conditions:

China Lake is located on the high Mohave Desert Region. Temperatures range from winter lows in the mid 20s to summertime highs of 100+ degrees. Maintenance tasks are performed outdoors as well as in the maintenance hangar/shops.
