Company Introduction:

GLOBAL ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT and SUPPORT (GEMS) is a small company.​ GEMS is a leader in developing test sets for commercial and military hardware.​ GEMS develops various software tools, equipment, and test software used to verify the performance of electronic components, circuit cards, and sub-assemblies.​ Current contracts include test development projects for commercial and military satellites, industrial automation and control systems, weapons systems, guidance systems, targeting systems, and various other types of equipment.​

Requirements: BSEE with relevant experience ability to obtain clearance to work on United States DOD projects.​



This is a temporary position with potential for a permanent position.​



Candidate must have relevant experience with MATLAB for creating scripts as well as with test methods and strategies for testing Infrared Focal Planes.​



This position requires strong background in developing test equipment and test software for Infra-Red Focal Plane automated testing.​ The candidate will develop automated test systems and software utilized in production line testing and/​or engineering verification for Infrared Focal planes.​ You will be required to design an automated test system and the software used in controlling same.​



The work involves digital, analog, hybrid, and RF circuits.​ Engineers must have the ability to:



· Evaluate schematics and specifications

· Evaluate and/​or generate Test Requirements

· Formulate a test plan

· Design Test Station Hardware (Variety of custom or off the shelf systems)

· Design Test Station Software

· Design Software to test the actual product or Unit Under Test (UUT)

· Integrate all of the above

· Prepare various reviews and CDRL items

· Perform professional presentations in front of the customer



A variety of custom and commercial test platforms may be used in each development effort.​ Some of the commercial equipment that is utilized includes National Instruments PXI based test systems, Teradyne M-Series, Teradyne Spectrum Series, Teradyne L-Series, HP/​Agilent-3070, and GenRad test systems.​



Custom system development normally involves PXI, VXI, IEEE, or VME based systems.​



This position requires travel to the customer site for the duration of the effort.​
