Architectural Engineer - Naval Architect/Ship/Repair Service 55-65 K/yr

A client with a location in Louisiana is an immediate need for a Naval Architect. This position has the responsibility of leading the repairs of and the new construction design work for vessels ranging form tugboats to Navy and Coast Guard patrol boats. These vessels do range in size from 100 tons to 22,000 tons. Typically the Naval Architect would have a hand all phases work from the design process including producing drawing and documents to making sure all new construction or modifications are completed in a timely fashion. All candidates applying for this position must have a Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering. In addition, 5 years experience in a small to medium size shipyard is strongly advised. The salary range for this position will be determined from your previous experience and knowledge. The client does offer a very good benefits package and will negotiate a relocation package if needed.
