Software Engineer (Georgetown, Seattle)

We are a locally-owned, privately-held provider of managed telecommunications strategies for large, and sometimes very large customers. We are fast paced, but not sloppy. We are well positioned for growth, but not beholden to any sort of vulture/venture capital. We have been in existence for nearly a decade, but are currently expanding at an unprecedented rate. Basically, we are able to move like a startup, but without the crazy hours or looming specter of bankruptcy.

We are seeking a full-time software engineer that can both support our current code and develop new applications. The majority of our development is for internal customers, and as such involves plenty of face time and requirements gathering around business processes. We also develop code that interfaces with live network devices, so although it’s not embedded, it’s got to be tight and bug free. Creativity in problem solving is respected, but you will be accountable for your own timeliness and correctness.

Necessary experience and skills:

· C/C++ development (4+ years)

· SQL database (4+ years)

· *nix and Windows development (4+ years)

· Software design, based upon derived requirements

· Willingness to dig into legacy code, maintain, improve, and plot future re-implementation

· Development in collaborate team environment

· 4 year Engineering or Science degree (or equivilant)


Desired experience:

· Project management

· UI design



· Visual Basic (2+ years)


· Reporting and analysis concepts and techniques
