Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Plant Application MES Project Engineer
Provide technical engineering and consulting during all stages of the project (system specification, design, deployment, installation, commissioning & integration, training) including but not limited to
1. Define requirements, write specifications, design and deliver MES systems
2. SQL Server Store Procedure Coding, VB, VBA and ASP coding
3. Deliver project milestones aligned with customer content, schedule, quality expectations, and business financial targets
4. Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and startup services
5. Customer application and product training
6. Meet schedule and budget commitments
7. Ensure overall customer satisfaction
8. Configure, integrate and stage hardware, software, and networks
9. Screen designing, Visual Basic Scripting, SQL Scripting, ASP coding
10. Document as-built systems, operating procedures, and maintenance requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
Industrial Software Engineer
1. BS Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
2. Thorough knowledge of MES and HMI/SCADA applications
3. 1 years development using common programming environments (VB, C, C++, JAVA, etc.)
4. 1 years experience with relational databases, specifically SQL Server
5. Skills in systems analysis, design, testing and implementation
6. Ability to communicate and interface directly with the customer
7. Working knowledge of networking and communication technologies
8. Right to work and travel throughout EMEA
9. Willing to work at customer site for extended periods (About 40%)
10. Ability to work as part of a team, Flexibility on working times
11. Good spoken and written English language skills
12. Fluency (written and spoken) in as second language
Desired:
1. Microsoft Certified Professional
2. Microsoft .NET programming experience
3. In-depth knowledge of Automation products & solutions
4. Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, PLCs and factory floor devices
5. Six Sigma Certifications (GE Candidates)
