Job Vacancy: the Windows Device Platform Group (WDPG)

As part of the Windows Device Platform Group (WDPG), we at winqual.microsoft.com have the opportunity to touch all Windows customers through our Online Services. We are expanding our products with the Windows Remote Debugging Service that will enable our OEM and IHV partners to debug Windows machines across the internet. We use a variety of technologies, mainly .Net from 1.1 to 3.5 and we are an eclectic team from college hires to long-time Microsoft veterans. We are like a country inside of another country: part of Windows but have our own engineering with separate source control, process (we say it’s fairly light), build, bug db, etc. If this has piqued your interest, you are halfway there. To cross the other half we just need some (we mean solid) skills and experience in the areas listed below. · Debugging: Debugging Tools for Windows (especially kernel debugging)
· Communication: TCP/IP (v4 & v6) stack up to HTTP, optional - RPC, sockets, WCF
· Server: web services, IIS7, WCF
· DB: SQL, SQL 2005
· UI: Windows Forms, WPF
· General: computer science, algorithms (queuing theory), .NET 3.x, Windows 2008 Server, distributed systems and client/server.
