We are realizing a vision of storage utility as a service, database in the Cloud, thus “Cloud DB”. Our project is building a data platform that is fault tolerant, highly scalable, highly available and reacts dynamically to changing load, and hardware failures. This will be the storage platform for a number of Microsoft services, and it will be available to external customer too, providing scale-free, highly-available, low cost, flexible entity storage.

As a key player in the test team, your responsibilities include planning and implementing product tests, defining our delivery pipeline and its quality gates, designing and building test automation and analysis infrastructure, participating in product architecture and designs, working closely with developers, operations and partners to define requirements and exit criteria of our product. You will work with developers to define the right level of testing, review peers’ test plans and implementation and work to improve our processes. We are looking for an experienced SDET with great testing aptitude, programming skills and communication skills. You must be able to tackle technical and engineering issues independently, can ramp up quickly on a new technology, can drive cross group and cross discipline collaborations, and are passionate about innovating test methodologies and establishing efficient processes. You must act as the evangelist for our test tools and methodologies as well as keep our quality bar high over multiple releases.

A successful candidate will have:
· Excellent programming skills in C, C++, or C#
· Familiarity with XML, IIS
· Great ability to work with other teams and people
· Excellent problem solving skills
· A proven track record for shipping quality software on time
· The ability to work within product teams and across product groups
· Passion for engineering excellence and learning
· Knowledge and experience in performance and stress testing
· Knowledge and experience in database systems and/or distributed systems
· Two or more years of experiencing in testing commercial software product
· A BS or MS in computer science or related field
